Academic Services: Orientation

  • Language Placement test
  • Orientation and Placement Test
    • About a week before your course begins, you’ll receive a “Welcome” email with all the details you need, including the time for your orientation. The email will also have a link to a quick writing and grammar assessment, which we kindly ask you to complete before orientation.
    • During orientation, you’ll meet your new classmates and be introduced to the school by one of our welcoming admissions staff or instructors. You’ll also receive a Berlitz information pack full of helpful tips about studying with us, exploring Dublin, and enjoying your time in Ireland. Plus, we’ll take you on a tour of the school so you can get familiar with your new surroundings.
    • After orientation you will meet individually with a member of our academic team to perform your speaking test.
    • Finally, you will receive an email with the details of your class which will begin the following day.
  • Counselling
    During your course you will meet with the Director of Studies or Assistant Director of Studies on a regular basis to review your progress, and to discuss your objectives for the weeks ahead. We keep a record of these sessions, enabling us to chart your progress. This is your opportunity to provide feedback, and influence the direction of your course.
  • End of Course Certificate
    Subject to satisfactory attendance, at the end of your course you will receive a certificate, which will provide you with a record of your achievement at Berlitz Dublin. This certificate will indicate the level you have achieved and the corresponding CEF level.

Welfare & Pastoral Assistance

At Berlitz we aim to ensure you embark upon your studies in the Ireland smoothly and adapt to a new lifestyle as quickly as possible. As such, we provide a range of services to assist you:

  • Welfare
    Our Accommodation & Welfare Officer is available to help you with any problems you may experience while studying at Berlitz. Help will be provided in making GP, dental or other essential medical appointments.
  • Visas
    We can provide letters and certificates of acceptance to assist you with visa applications where required.
