COURSE OVERVIEW

This course equips students with the necessary skills to successfully pass a Cambridge examination (Preliminary, First, Advanced or Proficiency). Cambridge examinations are useful for higher level students who require a widely recognised certificate of general competence for employment or study purposes.

Course Description

The Cambridge exam preparation courses are very intensive programmes focusing on all of the skills you need: reading, writing, listening and speaking, as well as improving vocabulary and grammar. You will also concentrate on developing effective examination techniques.

Lesson content incorporates exam strategies and techniques, as well as covering speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. In addition you will gain in confidence and linguistic competence, which will benefit your ability to communicate in English in general. Throughout the learning process, we measure your progress clearly to highlight strengths, needs and objectives, to ensure that you achieve your goal as quickly and as effectively as possible.

You will do regular examination practice, including a mid-course practice exam, and receive feedback, correction and advice from your trainer. You will be given a book of past papers to practice and then review in class.

In order to get as much as possible out of your learning experience, we recommend you attend at least 85% of classes, complete all homework given and do self-study as directed by your teacher. You will also be given regular homework and weekly tests to check your progress.
